Web Site Issues
George Lou Karmiris approached WebFire Designs to redesign his existing web site. His current site used a very dated looking design style with heavy drop shadows, dark colours, old fonts, and heavy bold text throughout. The real estate listings on the web site was outdated because the site was difficult to update with new listings.
Another issue was that the site performed poorly in the search results because it was poorly optimized, especially for local search. Performance was poor leading to pages taking a long time to load, resulting in a poor user experience.
Our Web Design Solution
We designed a completely new site with a modern custom design. George wanted to be able to easily create new listings, add a description, and upload photographs. Important requirements were the ability to easily mark listings as 'Active' or 'Sold', and the ability to display listings in an effective way so buyers could easily find active listings. The new web site meets all these goals and more - buyers are able to find active listings, along with other useful information about listing your home including a mortgage calculator, a Land Transfer Tax (LTT) calculator, and more.
